July / August 2009
I just found out that a good friend and a wonderful man tragically, lost his life. Tom Pfaeffle produced my CD “Just a Taste” and has recorded the first few songs for our upcoming cd.
I met Tom when I was ready to record my first cd "Just a Taste" He heard my voice and decided I was someone he wanted to work with. There is no one better to work with for drum work. He really knows how to make the drums sing. Tom gave me so much. He taught me how to be efficent and one thing about my relationship with Tom that I most appreciated is that if I came in with a song that he thought was not up to the standard he had expected of me he was not EVER afraid to tell me so.
Tom helped me create my sound.
The last time I worked with him with my band was when we recorded Prayer and Stay with Me. After laying the music down, when it was my turn to work it was like Tom and I were reading minds. We barely had to talk. He would look at me and I would do a vocal line and then he would have an idea and right as he would start to tell me his idea I would get it and just do it. Tom Pfaeffle has made me a better musician and I am humbled to have been his friend as well as a student and a client.
I was just in his studio 6 weeks ago doing some session work for him. Tom called me anytime he needed that gospelly voice. I was honored that he thought of me as often as he did.
Last time we worked together we ended up talking, catching up talking about his kids...how much he loves his wife...what a blessed life he has had, even asking me my thoughts about him buying a new car...
I do not believe there are many people in this world who have the special spirit that this man Tom Pfaeffle had. He was one of the most beautiful people I have ever known and probably ever will know. Tom Loved his wife and family so very much. He loved his friends and the people in his life. He touch all the people he has ever met. I am lucky to have had him as a friend. I am at a loss.
I am so sad!!
This world is a little less bright having him gone.
Tom I Love you. I am so sad to not have you here anymore.
To Val and his family...If there is ANYTHING you need from me...any way I can help....Please do not be afraid to reach out.

Bassist Dominique Stone
Aury Moore would like to introduce Dominique Stone, the newest member of The Aury Moore Band.
Dominique is our new bass player. He has all the funk and slap that Aury was hoping for. Dom has a history of playing R&B... Blues… Jazz and Pop as well as getting his fingers in the world of Rock.
“I am thrilled to have his style of playing backing me!! His funk and slap flare really helps tie in my bluesy gospel vocals into the Rock music that I write! Dom is becoming a much loved player in the band and is by far the best dressed of us all! LOL” says Aury.
Dominique’s debut performance with The Aury Moore Band was at The Cedarwood Dome in Milton, WA. “That was a crazy night. We had 300 people in the venue there to come check him out. He passed with Flying colors! Many of our fans have expressed how much they like his addition to the band!”
